How We're Doing Our Part
The Wilkes County Chamber of Commerce supports the goals of the 75th Anniversary by utilization of various mediums. The chamber serves as the local visitor center and also manages the Sustainable Northwest NC Visitor Center located on Hwy. 421 East. At both locations, information is distributed to vistors interested in exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. We have linked the 75th Anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway logo to the chamber Web site and also to the NWNC Visitor Center Web site. Our chamber participates in advertisements in the Blue Ridge Parkway Directory. Our chamber encourages all chamber members and area tourism attractions and events to participate in the 75th BRP celebration in some manner during this current physical year. Wilkes Chamber also promotes the 75th celebration through social media with our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We are “fans” of the Parkway and will be further promoting the 75th Anniversary by postings on our pages.
