Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy a three-hour tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway complete with experienced guides and a boxed lunch! Reservations are required and can be made by calling Museum of the Cherokee Indian at 828.497.3481.
Cost is $20 per person to be paid at time of departure.

Tour originates at the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Participants will board shuttles with trained Cherokee step-on guides to enjoy an afternoon of Cherokee and Parkway history.

Itinerary for the tour may include stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway at Ravensford, Thomas Divide, and Water Rock Knob for interesting history regarding:

  • Cherokee’s Origin legend and creation of the mountains
  • Will Thomas and Yonaguska
  • Cherokees in the Civil War
  • Origin of strawberries
  • Spirit people in the mountains
