Viewshed Planting at Milepost 104.9, north of Roanoke

Save Parkway Views is FRIENDS signature project. There are two tree plantings this year: The spring planting on March 20 at milepost 104.9 north of Roanoke will utilize approximately 500-600 seedlings. The purpose of our plantings is to save Parkway views by creating a barrier between the Parkway and the surrounding urban landscape. The fall viewshed planting location will be determined closer to the planting date.
