Blue Ridge Backroad’s Celebration of the Blue Ridge Parkway’s 75th Anniversary will celebrate both the natural beauty of the Parkway and the traditional music of the region. The live radio show will feature musicians of the Galax area - including Buck Mountain
Band, Bobby Patterson, Willard Gayheart, Scot Freeman, Bill and Maggie Anderson, Stu Shenk, and Brien Fain - who jam and meet tourists daily at the Blue Ridge Music Center. In addition, prior to the live show the FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway will present video featuring the Parkway, its beauty, and its history.
The FRIENDS will also be available to share information about the FRIENDS organization and how others can become involved. Special guests will be invited to share in this special event celebrating the Blue Ridge Parkway and its 75th Anniversary.
