Beacon Mill Village - 12 min from Asheville, I-40, Exit 59. Right onto Rte 70 East. Next light, right onto Whitson Ave. at Beacon Veterinary Hospital
Live traditional Appalachian music and square dance caller; craft booths, children’s games, jamming sessions, and other activities. Mill-sponsored dances for their employees and the community. The heritage of the original Old Farmers’ Ball near Warren Wilson College included regular dances. Swannanoa Shindig will honor the heritage of our forebearers here in the Swannanoa Valley and draw attention to folks like Marcus Martin, Bill McElrath, Walt Davis, and Wiley and Zeke Morris.
