Roanoke is the largest neighboring city along the Blue Ridge Parkway and home to nationally and internationally acclaimed visual artists. The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge, in partnership with Roanoke Valley Sister Cities, will present ArtView: Visions & Voices - A Contemporary International Art Exhibition November 5-7, 2010, at the Roanoke Civic Center. The exhibition will offer a scenic view of a different kind to visitors traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, featuring art work and installations by participating artists from Wonju, Korea; Kisumu, Kenya; Poskov, Russia; Florianoplis, Brazil; Opole, Poland; Lijang, China; Saint-Lo, France; and the Roanoke Region and surrounding counties.
