Daniel Boone Days is the Town of Boone’s annual music and cultural festival. The event regularly attracts visitors to the mountains from dozens of states and other countries to learn about the history of Daniel Boone and his time in this area, and to dance to national-level touring acts and local favorites under the stars and unique atmosphere of the High Country’s most sought after music venue, Horn in the West. Daniel Boone Days includes an educational symposium on Daniel Boone, a World Record attempt, fiddlers’ competition, kid’s activities, living history, storytelling, poetry, food and drinks, arts and crafts, informational hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a full day of live music from national and regional music acts.
High Country Press and Mountain Fountain Productions sponsor the event, which partnered with Blue Ridge Parkway 75 in 2009 and will do so again in 2010.
