To be considered, your event must take place during 2010 and must satisfy at least one of the following (check all that apply):

Promote tourism along the Blue Ridge Parkway by highlighting features that make Parkway communities unique, such as traditional music, dance, crafts, etc. Educate the broader public about Parkway communities by highlighting the heritage unique to that particular community, such as railway festivals, pow wows, etc. Celebrate the natural resource bounty of the Blue Ridge Parkway community, such as garden festivals, spring festivals, etc. Encourage good stewardship of resources in the Parkway community, such as Earth Day-type activities that include river and stream clean-ups, recycling, or tree plantings.
