Pisgah Brewing Company, 150 Eastside Drive, Black Mountain NC

There’s a 20-mile stretch along the Blue Ridge Parkway that offers spectacular views of the Swannanoa Valley, one of the gateways to settlement of Western Carolina. Celtic pioneers to that area brought their traditions with them—their songs and stories, their crafts and games—and that legacy is celebrated in the First Annual WNC Highlands Celtic Festival.
Pisgah Brewing Company, of Black Mountain, is host to this indoor/outdoor event, and is crafting a special, all-organic brew in its honor.  Visitors can listen to the sound of bagpipes and fiddles, learn a scottish country dance or an Irish step or two, and sample authentic foods!  There will be highland athletic demonstrations, vendors offering traditional celtic crafts/goods; Scottish clans are convening (many dressed in traditional garb).  Come research your own Celtic heritage—or come to experience the fun of it!  Bring the entire family (including the family dog!) for an educational and entertaining happening!
