Celebrate the grand opening of Chestnut Creek School of the Arts and honor the 75th anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway with a juried exhibit. On Friday, April 16, CCSA will open the gallery at 7 p.m. and present awards for “Memories: The Blue Ridge Parkway in Retrospect” with a juried collection of metaphorical or literal artworks pertaining to the Parkway, not only the scenic beauty, the flora and fauna, but also the people and their craft who have contributed to the arts and cultural heritage of the communities along the Parkway. Regional artists within a 100-mile radius of Galax, VA, are invited to submit entries for acceptance into the show.
