Virginia’s unique, traditional mountain culture comes alive during this two-day festival when the air fills with the sounds of bluegrass and old-time music and the sweet smell of barbecued chicken and sorghum molasses. Take in the crafts fair and numerous demonstrations of pioneer living. There’s also a wild pony auction sponsored by the Wilburn Ridge Pony Association at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
