19TH Annual J. E. B. Stuart Civil War Encampment & Living History is held the first weekend in October. Events include re-enactment of Civil War battle scenes, 1800s fashion show, square dance, candlelight tour, Sunday Morning church service, Black Rose memorial service, old-time string music, food vendors, and sutlers representing the Civil War period. Event is held at Laurel Hill, birthplace of famous Civil War Major General J. E. B. Stuart, CSA. Location is within 30 minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway, not far from Puckett’s Cabin.
Visitors to this event will be connected to a historic landmark, which is located on the official Civil War Trails Map for Virginia, and will be reminded of America’s heritage during this period of history.
