The art of wine is celebrated in mountain style each year during the Blue Ridge Wine and Food Festival in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Featuring wineries from throughout NC, and fine cuisine created by Blowing Rock area chefs, the Festival creates a cross-roads in the middle of the high-country and the Blue Ridge Parkway for food and wine lovers. The festival includes wine seminars, cooking classes, winemaker’s dinners at featured restaurants, and an art competition between local artists. The cooking classes and the winemaker’s dinners take place on Friday, followed by the Grand Tasting on Saturday. The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and BRP 75 will have booth space at the Grand Wine Tasting. Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation will be pouring/tasting the Blue Ridge Parkway Wines by Chateau Morrisette further promoting its mission.
