Florence Art School, 264 Trading Post Rd, behind the Northwest Trading post
(mile marker 258.6), Glendale Springs NC

This class is easy and fun! No prior skills are required. All
materials will be provided and the student will complete a basket during
class. Ancestral artistry will be taught using the fundamental skills of
over-under weaving, triple weave, applying the rim, then lashing to secure
the basket. Two oak swing handles and embellishment of curls will be added
giving each student’s tote basket a one of a kind look with a mountain
feel. This art has been handed down from generation to generation.
